TRUST BEFORE TRAVEL
ANTARCTICA
Nobody is ambivalent about going to the 7th continent.
You either understand its attraction or you don’t.
It will be your trip of a lifetime.
Which is why it’s so hard.
Hard to see all of your options.
Hard to know what’s most important.
Hard to ignore the pictures, videos, and offers.
Hard to feel confident enough to make a decision.
And the hardest part yet?
Knowing that planning this trip is supposed to be fun.
And it no longer is.
JUD BARTLETT
Since 2018, I’ve helped hundreds of travelers rediscover the joy of planning their ideal trip to Antarctica.
Together we:
Discuss your dreams, desires, and the dreaded Drake.
Discover the voyages that meet your criteria.
Dissect their differences and determine priorities.
Deliberate and debate the merits of each trip.
Decide and dedicate your dollars.
and finally, we
Delight in the anticipation of the adventure of your dreams.
We can work together in one of two ways:
ADVISE
For independent travelers (usually solo travelers or a couple) who would normally take this type of planning challenge on their own, we work together on a set-fee basis. A simple “pay-Jud-for-his-time” arrangement, where you can get objective expert advice and be 100% assured that your interests are always put first. While I am able to provide all of the options for your voyage, including availability and pricing, booking your trip is 100% your responsibility. You are welcome to book directly or through your regular travel agent. This approach eliminates any bias or pressure to book related to commissions or incentives.
ASSIST
For families and small groups with more dynamic requirements, we work together under a recoverable fee that takes into account the complexities and amount of time needed to plan and carry out a significant trip for multiple travelers. After our orientation call, you will receive a proposal with a trip design fee that can be reimbursed from our agency commission once the trip has been completed. I often work with travel agents and independent organizers to design group trips that include free-of-charge berths and commission-splits.
